The ak-47 is fast firing and high damage, but has huge recoil and is very inaccurate making it a "spray and pray" type gun. Spray and pray type guns, can be good up close, but if you got skill a more accurate gun is ALOT better. In the end, it comes down to preference of, if you like spray type guns or not. For me personally, I don't like the spray and pray type guns. Therefore I prefer a more accurate gun, like the M4a1.
